Safeguarding

We, the Dominicans of the Irish Province, together with staff and volunteers, will do all in our power to provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people with whom we interact.

Over recent years, the whole area of safeguarding has developed significantly. Our Safeguarding Office, in line with recommendations made by the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland (NBSCCCI) and in accordance with legislative changes, continues to ensure our safeguarding procedures are updated and all statutory reporting requirements are met.

Youth are the hope of the Church. As Dominicans, true to the vision of St. Dominic, we believe, with God’s grace, together we can build a future, in a safer way.
